The Oneonta Municipal Airport (N66) was dedicated in 1966, so this September 17th will be our 50th golden anniversary.
We cordially invite you to join us on Saturday, September 17th for this wonderful celebration. The festivities will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. We will include a fly-in for the festivities; demonstrations by various groups including the New York State Air National Guard, the New York State police, Oneonta Public Safety, and the Mohawk Valley Community College Drone program; skydiving (weather permitting); and other activities to include music, food, and vendors.
Events have also been designed for our youth and young adults, for they will be the stewards of the airport in the years to come. We ask for your participation in allowing the audience to take a closer look at your aircraft. Upon arrival, please radio the Field Boss with your intentions. Those willing to be actively involved with the aviation experience will be directed to our newly constructed taxiway for extended parking. Others will be directed to short term parking areas. All ramp fees are waived for the day’s event. Branded (certified) fuels, both AvGas and Jet-A will be available. Pilots willing to actively participate will receive a $5.00 voucher towards fuel purchased that day as a token of our appreciation.
A recognition ceremony with distinguished invited guests will begin about noon, so we hope you can arrive earlier or after 1:00 p.m. to enjoy the day’s activities. This will also be a great chance to visit our newly renovated lobby and conference area.
